Nancy Allen
Nancy decided to admit to the world that she could be interested in a woman when she announced that she was indeed interested in Kelly Thomas. She was 72 at this time and this is the only woman she has been interested in. Nancy met her 40 years ago and always wondered if she could romantically love her specifically or a woman in general. So the question is, “am I a lesbian or just in love with a specific woman?” Many of the other women who wrote a chapter for this book had the same question.So a mystery!
Nancy started with the typical husband and two adorable children. Somewhere along the way the thought of Kelly was always lurking in the background. When her second marriage ended she began to think more about women and specifically about Kelly. All the women in this book had a journey from not even thinking about a romantic relationship with a woman to to ending up in one or more.
Nancy had the vision of writing this book since she and Kelly Thomas partnered up in 2012. She thinks it is important for others to understand the journey to embracing a Lesbian lifestyle, especially as more young people are looking at their sexuality in different ways.
I recently became PROUD! I had a GREAT career as a corporate coach and training professional. I had a traditional life of marriage to a man, and we had 2 children. We divorced, and I remarried a man.
But wait!!!!
“It took me until I was 72 to “come out” as being in a lesbian partnership. I became curious as to how other women made the journey. With the approval of same-sex marriage, many people, including teens wonder about what same-sex relationships are all about. They may just want to understand them better or they may be considering trying one out”.
15 years ago, I chose a lesbian relationship for the first time at age 72. My pride in this relationship led to me finding other women who entered lesbian relationships after having a traditional one.
I coordinated a book with 9 other women willing to share their stories of LOVE. Our Book: “From Bud to Blossom: Our Lesbian Journeys”
Nancy had the vision for writing this book since she came out as a lesbian at age 72. There has been a lot of negative publicity from many different sources putting down same sex relationships. She is hoping this book will open the minds and hearts of all, including parents of young people, who read it.
She has a profound life with many significant relationships. She had a very successful career in the speaking, training, and coaching business for MANY years and has all of the credentials to prove it.
